Mark Darty

Mark Darty has more than 28 years of experience in value creation and commercialization of new and market disruptive technologies. He has held board, executive and senior management positions in the medical device, consumer electronics and aerospace sectors where he brought emerging technologies from inception to revenue-bearing commercial success.

Mark’s prior experience with medical devices includes his role as Executive VP of Operations for Luminetx, a medical device company listed among Red Herring’s Top 100 startups in America. Mark joined the company shortly after it was founded in 2006 and led the company’s technical operations through acquisition and beyond. Mark led the development and commercialization of breakthrough vascular imaging products winning honors such as the Medical Design Excellence Award. When acquired, the company had sales in over 20 nations and production operations in North America and Europe.

Prior to 2006, Mark held executive and senior management positions where he led technology, product and business development activities at established global companies such as Brother Industries, McDonnell Douglas (Boeing) and General Dynamics. His innovation and commercial activities have been recognized by numerous awards and publications. He has a Master of Science in Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and is an inventor with patents in areas such as digital imaging, electronics, software, and nanotechnology.
